An exquisite pair of antique Etruscan revival clip earrings beautifully preserved from the late Victorian era. They’re both modelled in 18ct gold with coiling cannetille workmanship across the front.
Etruscan revival pieces were crafted in the mid 1800s when ancient Etruscan jewellery was unearthed in tombs outside of Rome beginning a fascination with the style and giving birth to these beautiful pieces which were crafted in the same elaborate fashion.
A turquoise sits on top of a raised dome in the centre and forms the lid of concealed poison locket which would have traditionally held a lock of hair, perfume or other mementos.
They’ve remained in excellent condition and are fitted with secure lever back clips at the back.
We recommend you insure for £2,250. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
