This beautiful vintage heart locket is fashioned in a bright 9ct yellow gold and chased with ornate, foliate artistry across the front with a forget me not in the centre.
Forget me nots are a symbol of love and remembrance and were often featured on lockets containing images of loved ones as it signified that they will never be forgotten and remain forever close to the wearer’s heart.
The locket has developed a lovely smoothness and patina with age and dates to the late 20th Century. It’s complete with faded Birmingham hallmarks on the back and rims and windows within ready to house two of your beloved photographs.
